Are hemp and CBD legal?
Yes, production of industrial hemp (cannabis sativa), while approved under the 2014 Farm Bill, was removed from the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Schedule 1 list and signed into law on December 20th, 2018 under the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018. Full text of the law can be found here. Each state has different rules and regulations for growing hemp.
Are you licensed to grow hemp?
Yes, the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Commission has issued us multiple licenses that allow us to legally grow and market hemp and hemp-based products.

We are proud to source every aspect of our farm and product from local licensed partners throughout North Carolina. The variety hemp we grow won the 2018 Selector’s Cup for highest CBD concentration.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally-occurring compound in hemp. It is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, distinguishing it from delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the ingredient in cannabis that gets users high. Unlike THC, CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and does not cause a high.
What’s the difference between CBD from industrial hemp and marijuana?
CBD taken from hemp and marijuana is the exact same compound, but hemp is required to have a THC level below 0.3% dry weight concentration the psychoactive compound delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), distinguish it from marijuana.
Will CBD help improve any conditions?
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibits making claims about whether CBD can help with specific ailments, but did recently approved the CBD-based drug Epidiolex for the treatment of seizures. The FDA’s press announcement can be found here. Other medical studies, found here, suggests that CBD has potential as a treatment for multiple anxiety disorders.
How do I use your products?
The hemp and CBD products we produce can be used in several different ways. CBD oil can be applied sublingually under the tongue for the fastest absorption, directly applied topically to problem areas of skin, or blend into beverages like smoothies and juices.
What is the difference between CBD and hemp seed oils?
CBD is extracted, either through ethanol or CO2, from the plant’s flowers, along with other cannabinoids and terpenes. Hemp seed oil is different because it produced by pressing the plant’s seeds and does not contain CBD or terpenes.
Can I pass a drug test after using your products?
We make absolutely no claims or guarantees that any person will be able to pass a drug test after using our products. Hemp, while federally required to have less than 0.3% dry weight delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), does contain this compound, which is likely show up on a drug screen for marijuana.
